CHIRIQUI3Boquete in Chiriqui is the next place from the list: ‘What should you visit in Panama’!

The land of flowers, jungle and mountains surrounds the volcano Baru, the highest peak in Panama. I like challenges so I wanted to go on a top of the volcano, from there you can see both of the Oceans: Pacific and Atlantic. It is a very long way, the height of the volcano is 3,474 meters (11,398 ft), so you need to spend 10 hours making round-trip. 75

My friend found the guide guy (fortunately, English speaking) who had to go with me. The guide is necessary, because the Park is largely unexplored, moreover, residents know stories about losing people; this 143-sq-km of Parque Nacional Volcán Barú can be dangerous. There was only one condition: the sky should be cloudless.

When I woke up the sky was full of clouds, what a bad luck!2

I met with a guide and we decided to go to another place, he told me that I will not regret. We decided to go on the top of Cerro Punta (2,500 meters). I took my backpack and we started walking. There were a lot of animals, rivers and plants of each variety. The best were lines, in one moment I turned into
the jungle (wo)man and I enjoyed a lot! You can see my craziness on the picture!

1In one ofthe river there is a pool and if you take a bath there, in magic way you will be younger. I didn’t check it, but maybe I will come back in 50 years.

Finally, when we reached the peak, I saw the paradise! United meadow surrounded by clouds, colorful flowers and a statue of the Virgin Mary made this place magic. After 4,5 hours of marching I was totally exhausted and, in this same time, extremely happy! You can see my enthusiasm on another picture.8

After a few deep and fresh breaths, a few sips of water and one sandwich we went in the back way and at the foot of the mountain we stopped some car and come back to Boquete by hitchhiking. That kind of trips charge my batteries so that I feel that I can more!
